About this Cook
I'm a stay at home homeschooling mom to four (and one on the way) children. I have a husband that I could brag on more than the space I have here. I love God and love seeing his wonderful work in the world. Serving Him and and the people He has put in my life are my two great passions!
My favorite things to cook
Anything that tastes great, doesn't take a whole lot of time (like I have much to spare) and is wholesome.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom didn't like to cook much so I'm learning as an adult. I don't remember many cooking traditions. Does rice crispy treats every christmas morning count? :)

Chocolate Syrup
I mixed all dry ingredients together along with two tablespoons of cornstarch (I used 1/4 tsp of salt). Let it come up to a simmer to thicken, took it off the stove and stirred in the vanilla. Delicious...Hershys who?

Emily's Famous Marshmallows
Yep! This is the one. I doubled the batch, used parchment paper in a 13x9 pan and when they were set I pulled the whole thing out onto the counter to cut. I used all purpose flour to keep them from sticking while cutting and they turned out perfect! Love me some (kosher!) mallows :) Another hint: do yourself a favor and start the gelatin 20 min before the syrup so it's all ready at the same time. Also when you have the finished product ready to go into pans you can throw in your butter and Rice Krispies, press that into the pan and there you have some RK treats!

Best Brownies
I can see why one reviewer said that she won a blue ribbon at her local fair with this recipe! I've never tasted better. Mine weren't too cakey like some have said. I just didn't overcook them. That may be the problem.
