About this Cook
I try to make meals more healthy because I love desserts too much to give them up! It's hard for me to follow a recipe & I tend not to repeat them anyway. I like producing cookies (mostly Mrs. Fields recipes) in bulk, but don't decorate.
My favorite things to cook
Half of my cookbooks are for cookies. The other sections are vegetarian, ethnic, crock pot, cook for a week & freeze (I'll get around to this someday), & low-carb (this doesn't work with my love of baked goods). My favorite reference book is Mark Bittman's "How to Cook Everything."

Broken Glass Torte
There wasn't enough butter for the crumbs to stick together. The jello crumbled as it was being mixed so it was not as pretty as I'd hoped. I probably won't bother with the crust next time.

Absolute Mexican Cornbread
Followed suggestions on cutting butter & sugar. Will use even less sugar next time & oh there will be a next time. Wonderful flavor & texture.
