About this Cook
I have 4 kids and my own quilting business. I home school as well. My favorite subject is science in the kitchen.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are nachos because they can be made with just about anything. My most famous dish is Mac and Cheese. Even my adult friends ask for seconds.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We always make Christmas meatballs (a family secret recipe) and have an appetizer dinner for Christmas Eve with all of our favorite appetizers and desserts. If we ate them all on Christmas day there wouldn't be enough room in everyone's stomach for dinner.
My cooking triumphs
I love that I have gotten good enough at cooking that my friends will tell other people to never turn down a invitation to eat at our house. We get invited to every potluck event as well.
My cooking tragedies
We've eaten some pretty interesting food when I teach my kids to cook. I like to let them do as much as they can by themselves.

Flat Iron Steak with Three Pepper Rub
My husband loved this and wants to have steak this way all the time. I personally thought it was too much rub for the amount of steak so we compromised on a 4. Next time I will rub a bit more on his and a bit less on mine and it should be perfect.

Skillet Chicken Cordon Bleu
Very easy. I made this times 7 for our family dinner co-op. It was so simple to cook noodles, top with the divided chicken, sauce and finally with a sprinkle of bread crumbs. We used chicken broth instead of wine as one of our group mom's is a new mom but is still had good flavor.

Sloppy Joe Sandwiches
Super good. We added a few red and green peppers since we had them. This was fast and tasty.
