Crawfish in Red Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2009
I made this with Crawfish tails and shrimp also. It is rich and has a definite "Nahlins" flavor!I did spice it a bit, but only because we like our seafood dishes, with a little "heat". One side thought. This site is meant for constructive comments and information. After all,we are trying to help each other feed our families good and tasty meals. Silly reviews do nothing to promote the good will that this site is all about. Good will and Good food!!

Country Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2009
The only change that I made was, I rolled the apples in a combination of suger and cinnamon before sealing them in the croissants. They are requested at all family functions! In the South, we make home made vanilla ice cream to go with them.

Asparagus Roll-Ups

What an unusual combination of ingredients!! However, I made these exactly like the recipe and for once, I would not change a thing, unless you want to sneak some shredded cheese into the cream chesse. Extra yummy.

Broccoli-Cauliflower Salad

Reviewed: May 13, 2009
I tried these for Easter and my family all raved about it. I have made it several times since and there are never any leftovers!!Easy and very flavorful. I use nothing but Hellmans Mayo and hickory smoked bacon. I did add a layer of sweet onions this last time. Very good.

Hash Brown Casserole II

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
Try using hash browns O'Brian, instead of plain frozen hash browns. This will cut down on the amount of onions that you have to chop and the green bell peppers add color and allot of extra flavor.

Baked Ham Sandwiches

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
Try adding worchestershire sauce to the ingredients that top these sandwiches. Gives a little boost to the flavor. You can use any type of sandwich meat and cheese as well. Great with a good bowl of homemade potato soup.

Bacon Wrapped Smokies

These are a bit time consuming, but well worth it, when you see them disappear so fast from the appetizer try!! Definately not low fat, however!
