I'm a groovy granny who hates grocery shopping and preparing daily meals, but enjoys cooking when I'm in the mood. I enjoy coming up with my unique combinations of ingredients and sauces to stir fry. I also like experimenting with bread recipes for my breadmaker. My unique potato salad adapted from my grandmother's recipe. Fried tomatoes -- slightly ripe, not green -- that my mother used to make. A BBQ hot dog recipe I created when my daughters were little and they still request now that they're in their thirties. An apple and cranberry gelatin salad I made at Thanksgiving when my girls were teenagers. A bread recipe I came up with based on the flavors in a Scandinavian coffee drink. Baked beans and Chinese cole slaw I made for my grandson's high school graduation. I've had a lot of them, but one that stands out is the meatloaf I made when I was a newlywed (first husband). I thought parmesan cheese and spaghetti sauce would be tasty in meatloaf, but it smelled and tasted liked vomit.
