Hamburger Supper

Very easy to make and very much a comfort food! I was skeptical of the ingredients at first with gravy and cheddar together but it turned out great! My husband like it immediately and asked what was in it. He even requested it be made again which next time I will play around with the seasoning like use Montreal Steak Seasoning for a different kick.

Love the Mama Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2008
These were disastrous the first time around when I followed the recipe. Although the crust made a good impression on me so I redid them again today with a few modifications to it. Like all the other reviewers mentioned, it may be best to double at least the filling if not the entire recipe for the size pan it calls for. I only doubled the filling but next time I will try doubling the entire recipe. It turned out yummy and I was very much pleased with the result!

Bacon-y Bok Choy

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2007
The bacon in the recipe adds a good bit of flavor to the dish. We made some slight changes--omitted the olive oil and used about three tablespoons of the bacon grease from a WHOLE package of bacon (you can never have too much bacon!). Also, instead of red onion, we opted for something a little milder since my hubby gets heartburn easily enough as it is, scallions. We basically created heart attack in a bowl with some leafy greens. Still, it was very good and worth it!

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Good pasta dish--the only complaint we had was that the consistency of the sauce was too thin for our liking so I used some cornstarch to thicken it up. Other than that, it is definately a good dish with a little omph.

Pierogi Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2007
Very good! This is nice twist to the normal dinner table with a lot of the basic ingredients that most everyone enjoys. The only change we made is substituted ranch dressing in place of sour cream since hubby won't eat sour cream. We also used about three times the amount of cheese that it called for and used mozzarella in place of cheddar. I might switch it up the next time I make it.

Chicken Noodle Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2007
I did not follow the recipe exactly: I swaped the flour, butter, and chicken broth for cream of chicken and mushroom. Instead of white meat chicken, I traded in dark meat chicken. I layered macaroni dumpling noodles on the bottom, the sauteed chicken and veggies in the middle, and spread the cream of chicken and mushroom over top. I baked it for about a half hour at 300 degrees and then sprinkled some cheddar to melt. It turned out yummy! Great recipe!

Easy Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2006
I tweaked the recipe a tad to accomidate me and my boyfriend. Instead of water, I subsistuted beef broth, threw in one whole yello onion cut up, and then seasoned the top of the roast with some ground garlic pepper. I also put about five pieces of bay leaves for some extra aroma. As for time, I lowered the temperature and cooked it in a regular pan for almost three hours as well. All in all, it came out pretty good for the little work put into such a large meal.

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Very yummy! I took it to my holiday dinner and work and one or even two wasn't enough to go around--first dessert on the table to vanish. I loved it myself and it was definately easy to make!
