About this Cook
I was lucky enough to marry the most incredible man that I have ever met who is as quirky as I am. We have a 3 year-old border collie named Georgia who was the center of our lives until our baby boy arrived in April. Now our lives revolve around diapers, bottles and naptime and we couldn't be happier. I am a graphic designer and I love drawing and doing freelance jobs that allow me to be as creative as I want. My favorite bands are the Killers and Coldplay-if you haven't checked them out, you should because it will change your life for the better. I like working with the dogs at the Humane Society and hope to one day have either my own dog rescue or kennel since, as we all know, most dogs have better personalities than most people.
My favorite things to cook
I like cooking things that make other people happy. Certain recipes can trigger the best memories. I also like trying to find low-fat recipes that actually taste good and surprise people that they are low-calorie as well.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Pretty much anything except desserts or Indian food-if anyone understands why that yellow mustard-like soup is so popular-please, let me know.I just don't get it.
My cooking triumphs
I guess anything that the bowl gets licked clean-what bigger compliment is there?
My cooking tragedies
Cottage cheese enchiladas-they went horribly, horribly wrong.I swear they tasted good when I was twelve-I don't know. I still can't talk about it.

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup
One of the best soups that I have ever had. Use rotisserie chicken-it's a lot quicker. Awesome!

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches
This was a great quick supper. We toasted the buns and melted some provolone cheese on top-very good.

Husband-Friendly Chicken Pizza
This is my recipe and I tried getting this recipe corrected, but had some trouble. Anyway, some of the measurements are off and I just wanted to correct them. The bacon should be 6 strips and a 1/4 cup gorgonzola. Hope you enjoy it!
