Fresh Cherry Cobbler

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2007
Wonderful! I picked up a pail of Door County Wisconsin cherries while on vacation and have made this four times (for myself and to share with others) I did add one additional cup of cherries. It's almost like "magic" how the cobbler forms! Someone at work gave me a tip on how to pit cherries--use a drinking straw. Just hold the cherry flat on a plate, push the straw into the cherry, then pull the cherry up over the straw. The pit remains on the end of the straw. It worked great--(much better than my $10 cherry pitter.) Thanks for sharing this great recipe!

I made these to send to my son away at college--he loved them and my friends enjoyed the leftovers too. Almost tastes like little pieces of pumpkin bread. Thanks!

Cherry Snowballs

Fabulous--tastes almost like candy. My husband who doesn't like coconut loved these. A little messy to make--but well worth the trouble! I plan on making these again for Christmas. Thanks for a wonderful recipe!

Slow Cooker Enchiladas

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2006
I have made this several times--it's great! I love the picture, and it really looks that way too. I added the olives and then, I didn't use taco seasoning, because I don't really like it much--just added some chili powder, garlic powder and seasoning salt to the meat. Thanks!

I never even had a scone before, but my son likes them, so I made the recipe for him. Wonderful! I will make again and again, (double recipe!)

Blue Ribbon Overnight Rolls

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2006
Loved it. My first yeast bread success, and everyone thought they tasted like old-fashioned rolls they remember from childhood. The person who recommended not letting the milk get too hot so the yeast will foam as it should gave me a good tip, because since the yeast foamed up for me, I knew it was right. Thanks!

No Skill Fruit Tart

Wow! I have never had dough roll out so easily. Usually I can make things that taste good, but don't look perfect. This one made me feel like Martha Stewart--it was beautiful! Thanks for sharing.

Cheesy Ranch Chex® Mix

I tried this a couple of times. The ranch mix really didn't distribute too well. I prefer the original Chex Mix--still my favorite.

Simple Slow Cooker Meatloaf

I like my regular meatloaf better, but this was very easy and I would make again. I think I will try the spicy sausage like another reviewer suggested.

Frosted Grapes

I used white grapes and they looked like wierd olives, but tasted good. I will make again though, using red grapes. My family found them strangely addictive and ate the whole bowl!

Bacon & Eggs Spaghetti

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2006
This was just ok for me--a little bland and sticky. I left out the onions because I don't like them, so it may be my own fault that the flavor was lacking. I wouldn't make again.

South Carolina Sweet Tea

Wow! Sweet tea--SO easy. I reduced sugar slightly. For me it turned out a little strong--but that's the way I like it. I will be making this at least once a week. Thanks so much for sharing! ----I would like to add that now I make this tea 1-2 times per week. Love it!

Good Ol' Alabama Sweet Tea

Great recipe! I followed other reviewer's advice and reduced the sugar to 1 1/2 cups--I might reduce it a little more next time. I love the sweet tea at Cracker Barrel, and this tastes very close. Thanks!

Baked Brie in Puff Pastry

Sorry, I did not like this recipe. Other reviewers loved it, so maybe I didn't do something right. I thought the rind became somewhat bitter, and the brie was basically runny.

Restaurant Style Egg Drop Soup

Wonderful! My family liked this better than the restaurant type. I used a little green onion instead of chives and grated ginger root instead of ground ginger. So simple and so tasty. I will definitely make this again.
