About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
Since I'm a Mexican young lady...Mexican food!
My cooking triumphs
Tamales. Man, that's hard work!
My cooking tragedies
I burned the bottoms of white chocolate macademia nut cookies...too much chocolate. Can you blame me? Chocolate is so good!

White Chocolate and Cranberry Cookies
I made these cookies for my neighbors on Christmas eve this past year. Everyone loved them and asked me for the recipe. I used Vanilla instead of Brandy and made sure that each cookie did not have too many chocolate chips before baking to avoid burned bottoms. (The cookies, not my bottom...lol) These are my favorite cookies I have made thus far. YUM!

Carrot Cake III
Everyone in my family loved this cake! Even though adding pecans is optional, I highly suggest it. The pecans add wonderful texture to the cake and balance the sweetness of the frosting (you know what I mean...super sweet then the neutral taste of the pecans-perfect) I was so busy that I ended up using pre-made cheesecake frosting (the cheap store brand kind) and the cake was still excellent. Next time I will make the frosting from scratch! THanks for the recipe...it's a keeper

Broccoli Cheese Soup V
Maybe we have been spoiled by Panera Bread's Broccoli soup because my husband and I thought this was too bland. Although a good starter recipe, we felt that it was lacking in flavor plus we had to add corn starch continously to make it thick...
