About this Cook
My name is Kellie. I'am 28 years old. I live in Wayland, NY. I have 2 kids. A boy age 9 and a girl age 6. I'am a single mom. I don't eat very much meat so I like vegetarian recipes. Although when I left my kids dad I moved back in with my parents and they are the meat and potato type. So it's kind of hard to come up with things to make for dinner. I think I'am gonna sneak some tofu in the chili and see if they notice.
My favorite things to cook
I really don't have any fovorite things to cook. I like to eat soup and salad a lot so I guess that is as close to a favorite as I can get. I love to try anything new. My best friend is half Korean and my kids dad is half Vietnamese so I really like asian food. My sister also turned me on to Indian currys and I've made a couple of those. She said they tasted just like at the resturant. Yeah!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
When my godmother still lived in New York State, for the holidays she would make all the cookies. I remember going over to her house when I was younger to help her and go Christmas shopping on black friday. I loved that. Now she lives in Rhode Island and does it with her daughter to bring back when they visit. She said she has just as much fun as I did.
My cooking triumphs
When everyone is quite through the whole dinner and then tell's me how good it was. I work in a bar so anytime I bring food to work and the guys ask me where I ordered it from so they can get some cuz it's good. Usually when I tell them that I cooked they don't believe me at first. It just makes me really happy to see everyone love the food and get full. So anytime that happins is a triumph to me.
My cooking tragedies
I can't make gravy. I don't know what I do wrong but it never turns out right. My dad thinks this is very funny and makes fun of me cuz I'll ask him to make it.

Peanut Butter Vegetable Chicken Soup
Everyone but me thought this was ok. I really liked it. Not sure if I will make it again only because I was the only one who did like it.

Chicken Pot Pie VII
Everyone here loved it. The dough was hard to work with though. Think I'll try a diffrent dough next time. When we were eating dinner last night my son asked when I was gonna make this again! That's a first. Thanks.
