Taco Bake II
Chocolate Cheesecake II

About this Cook
I am a 27-year-old divorcee living in Nowhereville, USA. I live with my brother and my friend Betsy. I also have a wonderful boyfriend named Adam who is somewhat of a picky eater.
My favorite things to cook
Soups are my specialty, especially pasta fagioli; triple chocolate cheesecake.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My best friend Rachael, who is more like an older sister than anything else, used to live with me. We started a great tradition called Soup Wars. I make a stockpot full of soup, she answers with a stockpot full of her own creation. Pasta fagioli answered with minestrone; chili followed up with beef stew.
My cooking triumphs
After many tweakings of a recipe I got from a magazine ad, my triple chocolate cheesecake has been perfected!
My cooking tragedies
I once tried one of those frozen stew mixes that you just dump in the crock pot. And I will never do that again! It was the most hideous thing I have ever tasted. I had to dispose of it, and my garbage disposal wasn't working very well, so I decided to dump it in the toilet. I accidentally dropped the crock pot in the process and somehow it got stuck in the john. I mean, SERIOUSLY wedged. My husband (at the time) had to chisel the handle off the crock pot in order to remove it! ...And that is the story of how I got my crock pot stuck in my toilet.

Mom's Pumpkin Pie
I threw this together after searching many pumpin pie recipies to locate one that consisted of all ingerdients I had on hand. Not as good as my grandma's, but still delicious; my roomies devoured it quickly! They could hardly wait for it to chill!!!

Taco Bake II
I threw this together because plain ol' tacos sounded kinda boring. Turns out, it was a good move! It was a big hit at my house, made evident by the fact that it didn't last very long at all!

Carrot Soup Indienne I
Mmmmmmm, yummy! I double the garlic powder and cumin and add a little extra soy sauce to give it more flavor. And it is also great served over tabouli!
