Sugar Cookie Icing

The amounts must be wrong. I can't imagine how you can get 2 tsp of milk and 1 c confectioners sugar to come out smooth. I gave it 2 stars because in the end (after the alterations which really makes it a different recipe) it came out okay and I liked the flavor.

Colossal Caramel Apple Trifle

I halfed the recipe and it was the perfect size for my Pampered Chef trifle bowl. So simple and looks so pretty. I served it with cinnamon ice cream for Christmas dessert. Everyone loved it!

Chocolate Trifle

Great basic recipe! Beautiful and so easy to 'dress up'. I added a touch of peppermint extract to the Cool Whip and topped it with chunks of peppermint bark for a more festive holiday treat. This will definitely end up as a regular in my recipe box.

Buttercream Icing

I gave this three stars for three reasons: -The shortening flavor is way too dominant, but lessens when it's actually on the cake. -It's nice and fluffy but has a bit of a sugary texture. (Like when you can feel it between your teeth.) -It's not what I would expect from a "buttercream" recipe.

Delicious and peanut-buttery. I ran out of flour so I used about a 1/4 cup of oatmeal and added some Reese's Pieces. Great recipe!
