Anise Biscotti

Excellent recipe! I did not add the anise seed. I will find some next time I make this. Definitely a keeper! I drizzled them with semi-sweet chocolate. I made them for holiday gifts. Hard to keep my hands off them. I will save a "few" for me.

good. I thought the recipe should be doubled. Wet your hands before forming a loaf. I put cranberries in mine and omitted the almonds.

Good recipe! Last couple of years we have made homemade. I will never buy canned again. This is a very tasty twist. And it is a keeper in my recipe box!

Slow Cooker Stuffing

Very good! But I agree, too much salt. But I did add some pork sausage in mine. Next time, I will not. And omit the salt all together, IMO. I used 4 cups of chicken broth. I will save this recipe.

Soup. Stroganoff soup. Definitely not thick enoough. Flavor was decent. I did add the 1/2 sour cream as recommended. And the cream cheese. Sorry. Not a good recipe.

My mother has made this for years when I was a child. I love it! Now I have a copy instead of going by memory. I miss a couple ingredients that way. I pass on brussel sprouts tho! LOL

Pretty good. Not what I was expecting. Expected a dense texture. I added a tsp of lemon juice and some fresh blueberries. I probably won't make again. IMO, it was a lot of effort for mediocre results. Will look for another recipe.

Boston Cream Cheesecake

Very good! I wish the cake portion was more moist. I wish I could give it 4 and a half stars. 5, I consider unbelievable. I would make this again. I am a sucker for cheesecake. And this one is a keeper in my book.

Decent. Good w/ honey and/or jam. I had something similar when I was a child. This isn't the recipe. These are dense, kinda like a pancake but chewy. I don't think I will make them again.

Hearty Split Pea Soup

A lot of reviews on this one! A lot of people changed the recipe too! Yes, I am one of them. It is a great soup. I used chicken broth instead of water and I added a dash of ground cloves and about a tsp. of thyme. Great recipe.

Easy Mini Quiche

Very easy. Mine did not stick. When you crave quiche, it is a quick fix. But IMO, I wouldn't serve them to others. Cute, yummy, easy. I will stick to my regular pie size quiche for an entertaining recipe.

Carrot Cake III

Excellent carrot cake. I change a few minor things. 1/2 cup applesauce and 3/4 cup oil. 1/4 tsp nutmeg. EXCELLENT CAKE! I did NOT want to put in all that oil! Please do use applesauce! I love it. I wish I had more cake for leftovers!

Bookbinder's Fabulous Cheesecake

I did something wrong. The consistency was not right. I followed the recipe to a "T". That is the reason for my 4 stars. I enjoyed the lemon in the cheesecake. I will be doing that more often. I feel that the apricot was too much. Cut back on the amount. Strawberries and blueberries a must.

Mom's Baked Macaroni and Cheese

I made this tonight. 2 cans of cheddar cheese soup. 1 1/4 cup of milk. 1/2 cup sour cream. Sharp cheddar cheese on top and bread crumbs. I would definitely make it again. It was a good basic recipe. But it needs more WOW factor. I am going to "Dr." it up next time.
