About this Cook
Love to cook, love to read, and love to dance. I have two wonderful boys in my life. One is 10 yrs. old, and one is 36. I live in the country, and plan to stay that way. I am a "transplant" to Wisconsin. Now a cheesehead, and proud of it!
My favorite things to cook
Cheesecake. French Toast. I love cooking in my slowcooker. Fix it and forget it. :D Pretty much anything easy. I don't like anything that takes over an hour to prepare or have to search several stores for ingredients.
My favorite family cooking traditions
On Mother's Day every year my fiance makes me Swedish Pancakes.
My cooking triumphs
I make a really simple Chicken Potpie. Everyone in my family loves it. I make a good Chicken Cordon Bleu. My family requests it quite often. I love making cheesecakes. I only had one NOT turn out. It was a bit on the dry side, and it cracked on top. My son loved it though. Children are great :) Whenever I cook for my mother, she is so impressed and in awe of what I make. She thinks I am a wonderful cook. It makes me so happy that I can impress her, she is my best friend. I learned from her, but she denies that she ever cooked that way.
My cooking tragedies
When I was a child, I made chocolate chip cookies. I put in a Tablespoon of salt instead of the teaspoon. EWWWW salty cookies! I also have made runny mashed potatoes, too much milk. Also, taking some cokies out of the oven, I burnt my right wrist when I was like 14. Still have the scar. I probably have many more tragedies that I do not recall them all.

Apple and Spice Pork Roast
My mother has made this for years when I was a child. I love it! Now I have a copy instead of going by memory. I miss a couple ingredients that way. I pass on brussel sprouts tho! LOL

Insanely Amazing Jalapeno Cheese Dip
Very tasty and very spicy. I will probably make again. And maybe use fresh jalapeno :) I only gave 4 stars because of the heartburn! LOL

Grandma Johnson's Scones
Pretty good. Not what I was expecting. Expected a dense texture. I added a tsp of lemon juice and some fresh blueberries. I probably won't make again. IMO, it was a lot of effort for mediocre results. Will look for another recipe.
