Mitch & Me
About this Cook
I grew up in Arkansas and now live in Memphis, Tennessee with my husband and our two miniture Dachshunds.
My favorite things to cook
I love soups! I can eat soup when it's hot or cold. I also love to bake. Christmas is my favorite time of the year for cooking. I make lots of cookies and candies for friends and relatives. My husband loves for me to make Swiss Cheese Meatloaf and Grilled BBQ Pork Chops.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love cooking for friends and family. At Thanksgiving & Christmas, we have dinner with turkey, ham, cornbread dressing and the works!
My cooking triumphs
The first time I ever hosted Thanksgiving, I invited everyone from both mine and my husband's families. I cooked dinner, alone, for 18 people. It was fantastic! I couldn't believe it! :)
My cooking tragedies
When I got married, I barely new how to boil water. My husband asked me to make a meatloaf. I had no clue what to do and did not even own a cookbook! So, I threw together a few ingredients that I thought would go in a meatloaf and put it in the oven at 400° for over an hour. It was tough, burned and just plain awful! Needless to say, my husband didn't ask for meatloaf ever again. :)

Chicken Marsala
Fantastic!!! The mushrooms were tasted just like butter! I used the Tyson trimmed and ready chicken breasts...they didn't need to be pounded because they were already the correct thickness.

Melt-In-Your-Mouth Meat Loaf
We LOVED this meatloaf!! I don't usually like a sauce on my meatloaf, but this one was perfect (just the right amount of sweetness). We will definately have this one again!

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy
This recipe is fantastic! My husband loves it. The recipe states that it makes 4, but really it is more likely for 2 or 3.
