My life's work has been retail. I sold my successful retail business in our large university town a few years ago and am searching for my next "career". I spend a large chunk of time searching for and trying new recipes. I have hundreds collected in notebooks and make notes and comments as I cook. I've discovered some true winners! I love trying new recipes.....from magazines, from friends, from cookbooks (especially antique cookbooks!) My favorite food genres are appetizers and soups, I come from a family who love their traditions! So much so that about ten years ago I put together a family cookbook. It includes not only our family's favorite recipes but also all the traditions we celebrate throughout the year.
