I'm a stay at home mother of 3. I have the greatest fiance in the world! I love cooking almost as much as I love them! I also love gardening, crafts, & sewing. I often say I'm going to be the next Martha Stewart, minus the ankle bracelet of course lol.
My favorite things to cook
I love making pizzas! Maybe because they're messy and it's just fun. I used to hate homemade pizza. But I live in a very small town with just slightly average pizza shops and my fiance who loves pizza encouraged me to start making them at home. After doing a lot of research on what makes a good pizza I managed to start making some pretty good pizzas. I still experiment almost always trying something new.
My cooking triumphs
Imitating a Primanti Sandwich! We live over an hour from Pittsburgh (where my fiance was from) He loves Primanti's, but driving that far just isn't reasonable just for a sandwich. After searching for all the right ingredients I made the imitation and he said it's just as good as the original. I think it should be better since I make mine with love but he wasn't buying into that theory lol.
My cooking tragedies
We love watching shows about food and one day my fiance saw a breakfast "garbage" plate that he was dying to try, except the restaurant was all the way across the country. I said "that looks simple, I'll just make my own version." Me and my big mouth ugh. So I woke up early to cut up potatoes and prepare the other ingredients. I started to cook the potatoes but for some reason they just weren't browning so I turned up the heat, they still weren't browning and now they were falling apart. Then out of no where they started burning. It was a disaster I added the eggs and cheese & sausage & bacon hoping it would disguse the potatoes but we couldn't even finish a single bite. I decided to let the dogs have it so it wasn't a total waste but they wouldn't even touch it. So in the end my breakfast "garbage" plate was literally garbage. lol My fiance still teases me about it and that was 2 years ago lol.
