Tiered Red Velvet Cake
Apple Oatmeal Cookies
About this Cook
I am a college student at SDSU and I have been cooking for about 2 years now. I am not very expereinced, but I love to cook and bake. I do not have a lot of time to do either, but try to bake something once a week. Everytime I bake i learn new things and can't wait to develop my cooking/baking abilities.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake!! Cakes, cookies, scones, biscotties! the whole works.
My favorite family cooking traditions
One of my favorite family cooking traditions was when I was little my mom used to bake chocolate chip cookies and She would always save the beaters for me to eat the dough off of:)

Red Velvet Cake I
I followed the directions and the cake turned out good, it wasn't anything to rant and rave over, but it was okay. It had a beautiful color, and it tasted like pretty good. I didn't use the frosting recipe, maybe I just don't know how to thicken milk, but my frosting was a butter and milk liquidity mess. After two tries with the frosting I decided to use a butter cream frosting recipe instead. That turned out well, and really brought the cake together. I don't know if I would make this cake again, I might look for other recipes.

Cinnamon Hazelnut Biscotti
This is a great recipe!! I followed the recipe word for word, and the biscotti's turned out wonderfully! I like chocolate on my biscotti, so I did add a drizzle of it as a finishing touch, but they did not need the chocolate, i just enjoy it! I will defiantly make this recipe again! Thank you!

Banana Oat Muffins
Ummmm! These were great! and my co workers agree. I made a couple changes to the recipe, I used 1/2 c white sugar and 1/2 c brown sugar. I also substituted 1/2 c applesauce for 1/2 c butter that the recipe called for. I didn’t have any sour cream, so I just left that out. But my end result was still great, and the topping is wonderful!! Thank you so much for this recipe!
