About this Cook
I am 36 and live in Riverview, NB. Great little town in southern New Brunswick. I love staying at home and caring for my house and family and friends. I am an active vendor every Saturday at our local Farmer's Market selling my gourmet herb butters. I have a hardworking husband and a 13 year old daughter. My favorite food is Lebanese.
My favorite things to cook
I'm a baker. I am still learning to cook better. I love mixing my own spice blends and trying new recipes. My favorite meal to cook would be stew. Nothing says lovin' like a good bowl of hearty beef stew.
My favorite family cooking traditions
On Christmas day my husband takes over the kitchen to make us all a hot breakfast. He even cleans up!
My cooking triumphs
I've won a recipe contest for Kraft with my veggie pasta salad. I even got to go to Montreal for the finals and cook off. What a fun trip!
My cooking tragedies
I still can't bake bread!

Playgroup Granola Bars
These are really good and healthy, too! So much better than the preservative laden, air filled granola bars in the grocery stores. I made mine with some chocolate chips and pecans, sliced them up, wrapped them then froze them for school lunches. If my husband stops eating them then we actually might have some left for school. :)

Rhubarb Cake I
Don't try putting it into muffin cups. The batter is too cake like and not muffin like for that. They overflow and make a mess. Next time I will put it in the proper pan. Only change I made was adding a cup more rhubarb and topping it with a bit of cinnamon sugar. Very moist.

Tortillas I
These tasted great, but too hard to make.
