Italian Creme Layer Cake

I made this for a friend's birthday and it was a huge hit. It is a very dense and rich cake. I doubled the frosting because I needed more to fully frost the cake. I will definitely use this recipe again.

Old Bay® Potato & Green Bean Salad

Mom's Island Treasures

These cookies were a big hit when I brought them for my co-workers. I used bittersweet chocolate instead of milk chocolate because it was what I had on hand. The pecans really complemented the other flavors in these cookies. Very tasty!

Coconut Muffins

These muffins turned out very moist and fluffy. The consistency was perfect. I followed the directions exactly other than adding 1/2 Cup of Coco Lopez(cream of coconut) instead of coconut extract and using soymilk instead of milk. The topping is delicious also. Thanks for the excellent recipe!

Raspberry Oatmeal Bars

This had a great flavor especially considering I had very little raspberry filling to use. I didn't realize I was so low on raspberry jam so I used about a 1/3 cup fresh raspberries with it. It tasted great still and had a nice texture. Thanks for the quick and easy recipe!

Holly's Smoked Salmon Pasta Salad

This salad had a great combination of ingredients and a nice flavor. We tried it with blue cheese dressing and it was just "okay" but when we used italian dressing it was excellent. Thanks for the yummy recipe!

White Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Other than using wheat flour and omitting the pecans because I didn't have them on hand, I followed this recipe exactly. The texture and appearance of the cookies were great but the flavor was somewhat lacking. Everyone ate them but no one raved about them. They were good but not great.

Seafood Scampi Linguine

Yummy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

These cookies are not bad but they are not great either. They have a very intense cinnamon flavor which I felt overpowered the oatmeal and chocolate. On the other hand, my sister felt that the cinnamon was the best part. The cookies did have a nice consistency though.

Simple White Cake

For those of you who like a white cake to be light, fluffy, and/or moist, this is not the cake for you. It had the density/look of cornbread and was not very sweet either. I would not recommend this recipe to anyone or use it again.

White Chocolate and Cranberry Cookies

These cookies have an excellent flavor. I followed the recipe to a tee other than reducing the white sugar to 1/4 cup as suggested by other reviewers and adding 1/2tsp almond extract and 1/2tsp vanilla extract instead of the brandy. There turned out perfect. Thank you for the wonderful recipe!

Chocolate-Zucchini Cupcakes

These cupcakes were very tasty. I followed the recommendations of Henri Smith and used a 3.5oz Ghiradelli bittersweet chocolate bar, applesauce and cinnamon. I thought that the walnuts added a nice touch to the cupcakes but they would have been good without them also. Thanks for the great recipe!

Cream Cheese Cookies I

I followed other reviewers advice and used 8oz of cream cheese in the cookies. I love the taste of cream cheese but I did not care for the flavor of these cookies. They tasted better after I added chocolate and walnuts but I would not make these again.

Fluffy Canadian Pancakes

I was excited to try this recipe because of the majority of good reviews but was sadly disappointed. We followed the recipe exactly other than adding 1 TB of sugar as advised by one reviewer. The pancakes were bland and more on the flat side. They were not fluffy. Thanks for the recipe anyhow.

Korean Spicy Chicken and Potato (Tak Toritang)

My boyfriend and I eat Korean food quite often and this particular dish has always been a favorite of his. This was my first time cooking it for him. Overall he really enjoyed it. The only part that neither one of us cared for was that the recipe was too sweet. I would definitely cut back on the sugar next time and add bell peppers as we have had before. Brown Family's Favorite Pumpkin Pie

This pie was fantastic! I was wary of making the topping because my boyfriend doesn't like walnuts or anything very sweet on pies, but it turned out perfect. I would definitely reccomend making the topping. It is delicious. Thanks for this fabulous recipe!

Jordan Marsh Style Blueberry Muffins

These muffins turned out great. I only slightly modified for our preferences. I used whole wheat flour, 3/4 cup white sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar and butter instead of shortening. I didn't sprinkle any sugar on top and they were still delicious. I will definitely be making again. Thanks Laura!
