Homesteader Cornbread
I have been looking for a cornbread recipe my aunt use to make. It was flat and dense and grainy. I hoped this was it but it's not. I was disappointed in the taste of this and will continue searching. In the mean time I'll go back to my usual recipe.

Apple Cake V
My neighbor just gave me this recipe except using pears instead of apples. It's great but next time I'll add some cinnamon and maybe ginger. It is greasey so will probably sub apple sauce for some of the oil too.

Easy Indian Style Okra
This is a great recipe. The spices are just right. I was looking for ways to use my bumper crop without doing the fried okra thing. I'll be making this a lot.
