Chinese Green Bean Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2009
Good basic flavor but will probably cut back on the black bean sauce next time and cook a bit longer. I like mine crunchy so I pulled them off the heat a little sooner than I should have. Might have cooked the bbs down a bit more. Guess we'll see next time. Served this with "Sesame Beef Bites" over "Quick Chinese-Style Vermicelli" from this site.

Sesame Beef Bites

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2009
Better than expected. With so many different flavors, I wasn't sure how this was going to turn out. I was pleasantly surprised! Just enough flavor to satisfy but didn't overpower the wonderful flavor of the tenderloin. Served it over "Quick Chinese-Style Vermicelli" and beside "Chinese Green Bean Stir-Fry", both from this site.

Quick Chinese-Style Vermicelli (Rice Noodles)

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2009
Bland but good. Will make again but as suggested by another user, I'll probably double the sauce. And perhaps try a few alternatives. All in all, a good basic recipe with potential.

Marshmallow Fondant

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2009
LOVE IT! I laughed almost the entire time. It got really eewy-gooey and had to return to the mixer for more Confectioners Sugar. Took me a while to get the consistancy right but once I did, that was it. Great taste and easy to color, roll and cut. Comes back to room temp fairly quickly too. Great recipe! Thanks!

Marinated Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2009
I'm not a shrimp person (at ALL) and I thought it was ify only b/c it didn't cut the "sea" taste enough for me. Hubby gave it 4 stars. He said he liked it but it wasn't WOW enough for 5. Thanks for the recipe though!! It'll be great for a grillin get together.

Cheesy Pizza Fondue

I've made this several times for Super Bowl, Potlucks and random parties. My husbands best friend begs me to make enough so he can take some home with him. I usually have to double the recipe and hope it's enough!

This is the only Cornbread my husband will actually eat. Just the perfect amount of sweetness.

Country House Bed and Breakfast Casserole

Made this for a family get-together. Left out the mustard powder but added Garlic Powder, Dried Minced Onion, and Red Pepper Flakes (a dash or two each). Made a double batch and there wasn't any left!

Traditional Mashed Potatoes

Great recipe but had to play with it to make the hubby like it. Added Garlic Powder, Dried Chopped Onion, Oregano, Basil, and Parsley to taste. He requests this one anytime I make Lemon-Pepper or Fried Chicken.

Jalapeno Poppers I

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2008
Made these for the hubby and some friends (I can't do peppers and I'm allergic to mayo so I'll have to go by what they say). Everyone liked them and cleaned them up. Time well spent.

Sweet and Sour Chicken Nuggets

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2008
Made this for a little Friday night get together with friends. The chicken was fantastic but I wasn't feeling the sauce even though everyone else loved it. Will be making the chicken again but will play with the sauce.

Breakfast Upside Down Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2007
Made this last night for dinner and my husband flipped. I'll apparently have to make two next time so he can have the leftovers! It was still a bit time consuming even though I did a little bit of altering: I just eyeballed it and used Garlic powder, Minced Onion (dried) and Crushed Red Pepper instead of the real thing. Also used veggie oil instead of olive and put potatoes in a bowl w/ papertowels to absorb some of the oil before baking. And I used a cheddar/monteray/mozzerella along with a Turkey Bacon/Regular bacon mix for the bottom of the pan. Might try a few other things next time to make it a tad bit lighter/healtheir but overall a FANTASTIC recipe!
