About this Cook
Hey I am Bridget, and I am only 13 years old, but I still love gourmet food and gourmet cooking. I also like casual and packaged stuff, as long as it tastes good right? It doesn't have to be fancy and rare.
My favorite things to cook
Mushroom rice, cookie dough, portobello mushrooms, whole-wheat pasta with homemade tomato-mushroom sauce, Ramen- its so good!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I haven't been allowed to cook for any holidays yet... No one trusts me. :)
My cooking triumphs
Mother's Day meal- Coconut-orange salmon, almond green beans, and homemade tiramisu. Yum. Portobello mushrooms has become a favorite family dish, made several times a week.
My cooking tragedies
I was warming up skim milk for a shortbread/apple desert I was making and I turned around for one second, just one second. When I turned back the milk had flooded the stove and was boiling out of the pan. Whoops! -Another tragedy- I dont have a candy thermometer, that is a tragedy by itself.

Tiramisu Cheesecake
YUMMY. this was sooo good. it was light and fluffy, even though i used two packets of fat-free cream cheese and one full fat. i stuck close to the recipe, because i am a beginner cheesecake maker. it was SO GOOD. i drizzled melted chocolate over the top, and grated chocolate like the recipe suggested. delicious!

Kay's Shortbread
This was SO good! I used the shortbread as a base to add apples and cream and make a bread pudding like dessert. I was surprised that my shortbread turned out ok, because I had to cook it on the top of the grill in foil; my oven was dead. Thanks Kay!
