About this Cook
I have been married for almost two years now. I never had much experience with cooking before. After my move to WA, I started watching the Food Network channel and got really interested in cooking. Now, I experiment with recipes I see in cookbooks, tv shows, etc. My husband hasn't complained.
My favorite things to cook
I love making pasta dishes and baking desserts. Especially muffins.
My favorite family cooking traditions
On New Year's Day, my grandmother used to make hog jaws, collard greens, black-eyed peas, and corn bread. I forget what the hog jaws stood for but collard greens stood for money and black-eyed peas for luck. It was my favorite meal.
My cooking triumphs
I have made awesome blueberry muffins, a pasta pizza, and chili. I am still somewhat of a beginner but I think I'm getting better everyday.
My cooking tragedies
I misunderstood the directions to Stove-Top stuffing. Needless to say, it turned black. I felt really bad. Ever since that day, I haven't messed anything up.
