About this Cook
I grew up in a spaghetti, pizza night, and mac & cheese house. Unlike my parents, I love to cook! I began after I left home and went to college, and have been enjoying the kitchen life ever since. I have a great start to a collection of recipes I have tweaked and made my own, and look forward to lots of great meals in the future.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking healthy dinners for my family, and experimenting with new ideas and ingredients. I love cooking anything that makes my husband go, "mmmmmm!" : )
My favorite family cooking traditions
For major holidays, the "must" dishes on the table include, cheezy potatoes, stuffing, and broiled tomatoes. We love a great chili in the fall, scrumptous burgers in the summer, slow-cooked meals in the winter, and fresh salads in the spring.
My cooking triumphs
I won a cooking contest at work with the Anti-Pasto Squares and Fruit Salsa & Cinnamon Chips. I also made amazing stuffed porkchops and rosemary red potatoes for my Mom's birthday that were a huge hit.
My cooking tragedies
Fortunately, none yet!

Make Ahead Lunch Wraps
What a great recipe! Super convenient to grab in the morning and heat in the microwave at work. As a vegetarian, I'm always looking for new meat-free lunch ideas, and I will continue making this healthy dish. I used whole wheat tortillas and added chopped onion, chili powder, garlic powder, and ground cumin. I think it would have been bland without the spices. Thank you!

Roasted Pumpkin Seeds
The only thing I used in this recipe is the oven temperature and cooking time. Rinsed the seeds in a colander, let them dry over night, mixed them with olive oil, seasoned salt and garlic salt. Turned out very yummy!

Suzy's Mashed Red Potatoes
Extremely tasty! I added garlic salt and fresh rosemary. I will definitely be making these again!
