by far the best marinade ive used so far! i didnt have low sodium soy sauce, so i used regular. i added a small handful of brown sugar to help even out the salt flavor. turned out great. not salty at all. i also used a horseradish mustard. this recipe does make a good amount of marinade, but i saved it in a ziplock bag and plan on using it again today for another batch, so at least it isnt going to waste. i was worried about the large amount of smoke flavoring, since a small amount goes a long way, but it turned out very good.
update:
i made this again without adding brown sugar and i have to say it is still very good, but was better with the sugar. from now on i will stick to using a handful of brown sugar also.
