Cranberry Streusel Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2009
I added one large chopped granny smith to this, and the flavor was delicious. My mother in law raved about it! I think if people like cranberries, they will like this. Those that are "so-so" or nonfans, they wont.

This was delicious! Great way to serve up sweet potatoes. I served this with Caroline Pulled pork and cobbler for dessert.

Pie Crust IV

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2009
While I have tasted better pie crusts in my day, this one was extremely easy to work with and very functional. Usually my pie crusts crumble or are too hard to work with, therefore end up too thich....this one looked great and held up great.

Peach Pork Picante

Pretty good - had a great mixture of tangy and spicy. I think this would also be great on chicken breast meat.

This was outstanding, but needed an additional crunch - maybe add walnuts or chocolate chips next time? Other than that, it was addictive. YUM

Sherry Wine Sauce Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2009
Delicious but needs a little tweaking. My husband suggested that maybe next time I could add mushrooms, and some parsley for some color. I halved the recipe and had an abundance of sauce as well so I recommend cutting back to anyone reading the recipe.

Butternut Squash Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2009
This turned out way better than I had expected! I used two small squashes, and it made exactly 6 cubed cups. I used a hand blender to blend directly in the pot, and then decided to only use one block of cream cheese. It was PERFECT with just that.

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
Since we recently moved to Texas, I wanted to make something "southern" feeling as a side dish for friends. I thought this was outstanding, creamy and delicious however my fiance just said it was "OK". It kind of reminded me of the corn dish they serve on mexican plates at Chevys, which my fiance doesnt like either! If you like that, You'll love this!!

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
I thought this was quite delicious, and makes a TON! I served as an appetizer at a dinner party at our house recently. Multiple guests asked for the recipe. It does taste like jalapeno poppers for sure. However, I put mine in a casserole dish, threw some panko crumbs on top and baked at 350 degrees for 45 min. Something about the idea of the microwave just turned me off....

Insalata Caprese II

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
I used fresh roma tomatoes and sliced up the basil instead of using a whole leaf. I also used fresh mozzerella which is a MUST for something like this! I bought the high-end stuff from whole foods to make veal parmigiana, and used the remainder for this salad. In addition to oil, I drizzled balsamic vinegar on top and let sit for about 30 min before serving. Really easy, fresh, and delicious! enjoy

Mint Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
Amazing! I was a little worried about other reviewers comparing the flavor to tooth paste but they were wrong! I bought high-quality peppermint extract and doubled it for both the green frosting and the chocolate shell for the top. Also, I doubled the green frosting completely. I used the recipe from this site called "too much chocolate cake" and baked in two round cake pans. Using this recipe meant I didn't have to freeze the cake before frosting. I DID freeze after the green frosting went on, then I spooned the chocolate glaze over the top letting it dribble down the sides. It looked beautiful with the green frosting peeking through. I topped with a pretty design of andes mint/chocolate candies. My recipe photo for this one was voted a favorite for the allrecipes.com site for the day!!! If you want gorgeous presentation along with a delicious treat, try this one!!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
This is great! I tossed with some gnocchi for my fiance's birthday dinner along with veal parmigiana. The only complaint, it makes a LOT! Next time I'd cut back to half or even a quarter of the written recipe. It seriously makes like 5 cups!!

Shredded Beef for Tacos

This was yummy! I couldn't find the tomato sauce that this recipe referred to, so I just used mexican tomato sauce and added a chopped jalapeno for some spice. Went great on flour tortillas.

Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2009
Pretty delicious and fairly easy! The only change I made is to add the juice of two entire limes. I tasted it after it had cooked and it needed it to brighten the flavor up a bit. Other than that, this was a hit!

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2009
I gave this 3 stars for ease to make, however the results weren't as good as I had hoped. My fiance, (who says everything I make is outstanding) had to make some sauce for this chicken to eat it. I wasn't terribly impressed too, it lacked flavor. I might try the crockpot and foil ball method again, but spice up teh sauce somehow.

Jalapeno Chicken II

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2009
This recipe was almost right except for the undercooked jalapeno inside. I had expected something softer. So next time I might boil the jalapeno or cook it somehow before assembling. Other than that, it was a delicious dish worth making again.

Marinated Flank Steak

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2009
This was yummy. I thoght I had worcestershire but once I got started I realized I was out. So I substitued A1 sauce since that was all I had. We used an electric marinader which infused this into the meat perfectly and grilled it over charcoal. I can tell that this would be good for any steak, not just flank. Give it a try!

Szechuan Beef

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2009
I followed this exactly and after cooking the beef in the wok I tasted it. I thought it was too bland! So I added some chinese marinade that a friend had given us from china and it made it tasty. This recipe alone deserves 2 stars for it's lack of flavor. I highly recommend adding more to the meat/dish before serving.

Slow Cooker Adobo Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2009
I agree with the previous reviewer. This had the starts of a flavorful adobo, but wasn't as strong as the real kind should be. It was tastey nonetheless. Next time I might try a different adobo recipe.
