Butternut Squash Soup with Sage

Hearty Ranch and Bacon Potato Soup

Very good recipe, but I cheated and used canned potatoes. Cut the cooking time down and made for easy mashing. Will make again!

Good, earthy recipe. Two things I had to do different: first, made as bar cookies because I don't have any cookie sheets at the moment and second, did not add chocolate chips because I didn't realize we were out of them. I individually wrapped the cookies in plastic wrap to store them. Should be great, quick breakfast bars through the week.

Banana Bread V

I'm not sure where I went wrong, but this bread had a weird texture. It tasted find - I added vanilla and cinnamin, but it was very dense in the middle. I couldn't serve it for brunch to guests, but ate it with my afternoon tea. I'll try a few other recipes on the website.

Zucchini Chocolate Rum Cake

I'm not sure what went wrong, but my cake turned out a little on the dry side. However, it was very yummy and everyone loved the extra chocolate the chips added. I served it warm with ice cream to cover up the dryness. It was a big hit!

Spicy Mango Sweet Potato Chicken

Made this for Father's Day dinner. It was so yummy and way easier then I thought it would be. I only added half the suggested amount of hot sauce (figured I could add more if needed) and it was just the right amount of heat for us. A very unique and different recipe!

Coconut Cream Cake II

This is a great and yummy recipe. I made it the first time for a birthday cake. It was so popular, everyone loved it. I made it again as cupcakes for a Mother's Day brunch and everyone asked for the recipe. I make one minor change - I use 1/4 cup applesauce in place of the oil. The cake is so moist and holds up well with the frosting. Love it!

Beth's Orange Cookies

Oh no! I don't know where I went wrong, but these cookies did not turn out. They spread thin as a pancake and burned very easily. I really wanted this recipe to turn out for my Mother's Day tea. I scaled the recipe in half and did attempt to salvage the batter by adding more flour and baking soda. We got one tray of decent cookies, but it was all downhill after that.

Spinach Muenster Quiche

Used fresh garlic instead of powder, otherwise followed the recipe directions exactly. The quiche was tasty and looked beautiful. Big hit in my family.

Very Easy Fruit Salad

This salad was a big hit at my Mother's Day brunch. I prepared it the night before minus the bananas (advice of previous reviews)and only used about 3/4 of the can of pie filling. The next morning I added the bananas and some fresh raspberries. The salad was beautiful and tasted great.

Cranberry Scones

I love this recipe. Made the scones for Mother's Day brunch and they were a big hit! No leftovers. I took the advice of previous reviews: dropped dough by the spoonful on cookie sheet, brushed with egg wash and sprinkled sugar on top of scones and substitued orange craisins. Great flavor and beautiful scones.
