I am a mother of 2. I have a 9 yr.old daughter and a 1.5 yr old son! I've been married for 6 yrs, but have been with him for 10 yrs. I am a graduate from mortuary college and I am about to be a licensed funeral director and embalmer for the state of TX within the next 12 months. I stay very busy, but never to busy to COOK for my family even those late night 1am quickies!!:)
My favorite things to cook
CHICKEN and more chicken!!!
I don't like red meats to much- every once in awhile we a a GREAT steak... My family loves seafood the most and they would say if you asked them that their favorite dish is my chicken & rice casserole w/stuffing or my spicy chicken spaghetti.... BUT then again they have added recently- steamed snow crab legs to that list.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Well, it is my duty to teach my daughter how to be a great woman and that includes COOKING! Who else is gonna do it... We love Christmas- we plan a different meal every year and she helps out and of course who can forget the cookie baking!!!
My cooking triumphs
I think I have mastered chicken! It is NEVER dry like it used to be and it just seems to get more tender every time I cook it.. I think I also have mastered seafood to some extent, but I am not afraid to get in there and try.
My cooking tragedies
Grilling on the grill outdoors. I just don't seem to be gettin it right. Either it is too hot or not hot enough and I charcoal it or it doesn't get done. BUT I still try... Maybe one day I will surprise myself!
