Spicy Indian Dahl

This is a nice hearty meal. I will add more cilantro next time. I kept the peppers to a minimum for the 6 year old and the adults still enjoyed the blend of flavors.

Carrot-Bean Sprouts Salad

A nice alternative to coleslaw. I added a little cabbage. A sweet carrot side dish that went well with the Spicy Indian Dahl recipe from this website.

Asian Salad

This was pretty fantastic but I got rid of the butter and toasted some various noodles and sesame seeds in the oven instead. Then I tossed it all together.

Spaghetti Squash with Pine Nuts, Sage, and Romano

This is really good. I used about 1.5 tablespoons of butter and some fresh green onions from the garden and used plain old plastic can Parmesan because I didn't get out to get the good cheese. It was tasty.

Oatmeal Banana Nut Bread

This is pretty good stuff. I added pecans instead of walnuts. Put in 4 big bananas, some Chinese 5 spice, a few tablespoons of applesauce, and raisins. It's already half gone.

I added an addition can of tomatoes for an extra tomatoey dish. Really quick and easy and not bad at all.

I added some dashes of Chinese 5 spice powder to the recipe. Delicious if you like tart foods.
