I am a mother of 2. I work at a bioresearch company and I love to escape the stress of my job by baking and cooking. Desserts!!! I try to make something special each Sunday for dinner since I work so much during the week. I want my sons to have comforting memories of Sunday dinners with their mom. I am horrible at making cakes so when I made a "BBQ" shaped cake for my dad's birthday that actually looked good I was so excited!! I made sure to take pictures because I figured I would never be able to make it again! I attempted to make a cake for my youngest son's birthday that collapsed while I was decorating it. All I could do before the party was some last minute patchwork and I ended up with the ugliest cake ever created. No one had a clue what it was supposed to be. Luckily it tasted good, but you needed to close your eyes to eat it.
