Mmm-Mmm Better Brownies
About this Cook
I love to cook, bake, try new recipes and invent recipes!! I have a great interest in bread and baking it. Also like reading, learning about all sorts of things.. and LOVE animals!
My favorite things to cook
Asian, Iraqi, middle eastern, German and Indian/Pakistani food - As a Vegetarian on a special alkaline/Acid balanced diet i like to try to adapt traditional recipes to suite my diet needs and i have fun doing so!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Mashed potatoes and gravy, Potato pancakes, Dolma, Kuba, rice, Makluba, potato salad, macaroni salad, biryani (indian and iraqi style) - BROWNIES, Basbousa, Kunafa and
My cooking triumphs
A soup stew I invented and called Di choy, it's a healthy veggie soup that has almost everything in it and can be altered slightly for different flavours, the goal was to make a good soup without tomato and those acidic veggies that harmed my diet and surprisingly everyone LOVED Di Choy!
My cooking tragedies
Forgetting things on the stove, burning pots, making too much of certain things like the time i made too much macaroni when i was about 13 years old.

Barley and Mushrooms with Beans
Yum!! I made this for my family and we just loved it, the next day I put the rest on the stove with some water and it turned into a wonderful soup!! I like it better as a soup and will make it again..

Peach Upside Down Cake I
I made this recipe for my mother, I used canned peaches instead and in the batter I used 1/2 cup of oil instead of the butter. The cake was SO FLUFFY and good that my mother just LOVED it! I will be making this recipe again.. Thanks! Note: I will try pineapple too and I'm sure it will taste good.
