I usually have to follow recipes closely. I am worried that if I do not, then I may mess up the taste.
My favorite things to cook
Meat... everyday. I like to cook chicken, pork, and fish. I do not bake goodies, and I do not cook beef. I always look at the amount of protein compared to carbohydrates..... I strive to cook high protein foods. My family needs to work on eating healthy foods to live a healthier life. My goal is to incorporate more vegetables into our diet.
My cooking triumphs
I feel good when I try a new recipe and my family likes it. If my husband compliments it, and if my daughter eats it, I am very happy. I feel like my time was worth it.
My cooking tragedies
When I first started to cook, I had no idea what I was doing. I made eggs and chorizo (mexican sausage) for my husband. He was trying to eat it when he asked, "Did you take the plastic off the chorizo?" I said, "What plastic?"
Geez, I have learned a lot more since then.
