About this Cook
I have four children and love to cook. It is a challenge to find foods that small children like, but I introduce them to a wide variety of foods and they like it.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook Itailian food, but I am really into grilling and BBQ-ing just about everything.
My favorite family cooking traditions
To make large family style dinners like a roast and yorkshire pudding.
My cooking triumphs
I have mastered pizza on the grill. My family loves it so much it is a once a week dish in my house. The rest of my family seems to drop by on pizza night.
My cooking tragedies
I tried to make a spicey stir fry that was so hot it was unedible. I also ruined many loaves of bread.

Chocolate Ganache
I was looking for a simple chocolate frosting recipe. It can't get much easier and tasty as this one was! I followed the directions exactly and it came out perfect!

Best-Ever Chocolate Cake
I seem to always make changes to recipes. This one was no exception. I added milk instead of water and added one egg for fear of the cake being to crumbly. This version turned out great. Everyone liked it so much I think I'll stick to the changes.

Ultimate Irresistible Granola
This was my first time making granola and it turned out great! I had to make a lot of changes to adjust to what I had on hand. I added 6 cups of oats to make up for other ingredients I did not have. I used my organic extra virgin coconut oil and did not have a full cup so I added a 1/2 cup of organic peanut butter w/o sugar to the oil, 1 cup honey(for less sugar) What a nice peanut buttery taste! I added a 1 tsp. of sea salt to work better with the peanut butter flavor. I left out the shredded coconut, because my kids do not like it, I did not have sesame seeds so I added 1 cup oup of fresh ground flax seed. I left out the wheat germ because it is high in phytic acid not a good nutritonal food as many believe it is. Although I made a lot of changes, I love a recipe that can be tweeked for personal tastes and still turns out the way it should. Thank you for a great recipe!
