Not bad - I like a little more pistachio flavor. Will try it again and tweak the ingredients some.

Absolutely delicious! And gorgeous to boot! Served it with Christmas dinner, wish I took a picture to post had I realized one was still needed. Ate the left overs the next day and it was still just as good!

Roasted Garlic Cauliflower

Yum! My mom always made deep fried parmesan when I was growing up, and as much as I love it, I just can't swallow those calories. This is not the same, but has a similar enough taste that it satisfies that craving, thank you!

Firecracker Grilled Alaska Salmon

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2009
I too had the grill put away (in fact it was snowing when I made this!). It wasn't bad, I took the advice of baking it at 400, which cooked it perfectly. The only thing I did different to the ingredients was left out the red pepper flakes, as I was serving this also to young children. That being said, it turned out ok. We liked it and ate it but no one was really asking for more or wanting me to cook it again.

Bread and Celery Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2009
Yum! Doubled the recipe & realized too late that I didn't have quite enough bread (1 1/2 loaf), oh well, couldn't tell, it was still fabulous! Made the recipe otherwise as called for. After it was all together and in the crock pot, I felt it was a little too dry, but simply added another 1/2 c. chicken broth and it was perfect. Next time I will add sage & dried cranberries just to mix it up, and also, sage flavored ground sausage maybe too... a great recipe to be able to make little adjustments like that and have it still turn out amazing!

Made as is - absolutely LOVE it! Even made it one day when I had feta cheese on hand & added some in, still fabulous. Thanks!

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2009
Pretty good, a little too cream cheese for us, so I tried PABBYDOG's recommendations & liked it better. To make it even better another level I used the modified (pabbydog) version, added 1/4 cup of instant jello (any flavor, I used strawberry)... not only did I get the color I wanted, but loved the nice strawberry twist it added. Am making a garden theme party for my daughter & will also make a second batch using lime for "grass" color.

Wondeerful, easy recipe! Didn't get "wows" from the family, but everyone still liked it and ate it up. I had seconds, which I normally don't. Thank you!

David's Yellow Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2009
It did seem a little too dry, I even tried cooking one pan with pouring raspberry filling evenly across the top which was ok. My husband rated it 1.5 stars, I do think it was better than a boxed cake for though. I have not made a ton of yellow cakes from scratch - but I have eaten a lot of them, so that combined with following the recipe so closely is why I gave this a 3 star rating.

Cornish Game Hens with Garlic and Rosemary

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2009
Very flavorful, made exactly as states plus took reviewer tips and added lemon and garlic to cavity. I'm not sure what happened though, there was no juice from the drippings to reduce. It was more of a crustaceous film at the bottom of the roasting pan. So no sauce, but that's ok, the rosemary infused beautifully and it was still quite tasty.

Ham with Pineapple Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2009
Dear heavens above... how can I ever thank you enough for the recipe that is now the ham staple in my house... my 4 y ear old not only begged me to start making this for dinner, "every day" saying "it's my favorite!", but she ran to the other side of the table watching her 3 year old sister take a bite, saying, "I can't wait for you to taste it, it's soooo good!" Any response like that in this house is a keeper! And to boot, it was easy to make (made as recipe states exactly).

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Secret Recipe

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2009
At first I had forgot to change the quantity to 10 servings, but had already reduced the potatoes to 5 lbs. potatoes, so when I added 3 cups of garlic... oops! My brain was really not on straight! So I decided to just go with it and just drained the water about 15 mins. into boiling, then added fresh water to the potatoes and resumed boiling... somehow it still ended up fabulous! Excellent, thank you!

Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2009
Cooked as recipe states except I think I messed up by using boneless pork chops. They were not bad... my husband and kids used bbq sauce though to flavor them up - ugh! Will try again with bone-in pork chops and am guessing this will make a pretty good difference. Will re-rate after 2nd attempt.

Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2009
My new favorite way to make red potatoes! Hot, cold, it doesn't matter, they were excellent either way!!! LOVE them! Will add more onions next time too, as the onions were fabulous in them. (I used red onions) I paired them with the sage pork chops from this website and a fresh garden salad (from my own garden!)... my whole family ate an excellent dinner!
