About this Cook
I am now retired, and spend most days cooking, looking for new recipes, or watching Food Network TV.
My favorite things to cook
Love to make easy, but refreshing desserts. I usually surprise neighbors & friends with a little "pick me up" dessert (cheesecake, or cookies), if I know they're going through a rough patch at home or work.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love having the grandkids in to make and decorate cupcakes for their class, depending on the holiday. I bake, they decorate, and everbody is a hero!!
My cooking triumphs
Impressing my in-laws with a dinner from recipes I found on here. I'm such a snob, I usually look for 5 star reviews, and recipes that haven't changed much from the original.
My cooking tragedies
Tried to make Paula Deens coconut log cookies, as gifts for Christmas. Don't know what I did wrong, she made it look so easy. Thought I had it down pat, but they were a disaster!! Had to throw them all out, and resort to an old standby,(while I was still crying about the old ones!)

No Bake Cookies V
I have been making these cookies for years. I do increase the cocoa to 1/2 cup, and use only creamy peanut butter, but that is the only change. You do need to have everything at the ready..but these are no fail cookies! Everyone in the family requests these over any other cookie. Easy quick clean-up, too!!

Crackle Top Molasses Cookies
Oh my goodness!! These were the best and easiest cookie I have ever made. I was a little leery about the amount of oil, but I followed the recipe exactly, and they came out perfect! I will use this one over and over again! Thanks!!!

Broccoli Corn Casserole
I served this casserole for Easter, and although I am not a broccoli fan, I thought I would try it. It was awesome! In fact, when I went back for more, it was all gone! My family devoured it all. This has changed my mind about broccoli for sure!
