Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies
These taste exactly like store bought cookies minus a tiny bit of salt. I'm so sad because I was looking forward to something spectacular and these didn't do it for me. Instead of being impressed with amazing homemade cookies, my friends asked where I bought them. I should have known... I generally avoid recipes that ask for one package of cake/pie/pudding/pancake mix. If you like the soft baked cookies from the grocery store, you'll love these. Five stars because the recipe itself is fine and the cookies came out pretty. They're just not for everyone I guess! Also, these stay soft no matter what, so forget trying to cook them longer for crispy edges. My last pan of these had black bottoms (I totally forgot about them at this point, the recipe makes a ton) and they were still soft when they cooled.
