About this Cook
I'm a University student, studying 'Legal Studies and Criminology.' I work as a bartender, and enjoy being outside. But, when I am inside I enjoy trying new things in my kitchen!
My favorite things to cook
Anything pasta, Soups, Casseroles, Random throw everything that sounds good in a dish meals/desserts.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Getting everyone together to cook the meal. I always had a job - I make the (family's) best gravy... I've been making it since I was old enough to stir a pot (5 years old-ish)! I even managed to make gravy once when my dad burned the drippings to the bottom of the pot. It was a little chunky, but still up to par, and we didn't have to go without gravy!
My cooking triumphs
Making squash gnochhi with balsamic cream sauce. They almost defeated me when the knife slipped and I ended up taking a detour to the hospital for two hours... (I did not bleed on the squash, thankfully) but I came home, CAREFULLY cut the rest up... and made them. My boyfriend gave me a look like I was crazy when he came over and saw the strange little orange balls... but loved them, and took the leftovers for lunch the next day :)
My cooking tragedies
Rice. For some reason I cannot fathom, I can't cook anything but instant rice. If I try, it seems to always turn out wrong (either like mush, or uncooked!) I even follow the directions exactly, which is a rare thing for me!

Tartar Sauce IV
Awesome! Added a little pepper, salt and a little bit of sugar! Was perfect. Thanks!

Tuna Patty Sandwiches
Omitted the mustard. Instead used seasoned bread crumbs (cajun seasoned) and some wheat germ. Also added a quarter of an onion. They fell apart a little bit, but held together well enough. Served with a tartar sauce recipe (Tartar Sauce IV) from here on top. Yummy!

Championship Chocolate Chip Bars
Mmm... so good. Made exactly minus the nuts. So good, so fattening.
