WONDERFUL - couldn't ask for a simpler "no fail" recipe. Kids LOVED making their own. :) Thank you!

Followed recipe exactly... It was OK - chips got soggy. None of us were a big fan of the overall taste, so likely won't try it again.

Delicious. Freezes well. If you decide to freeze, be sure to defrost completely before putting in the oven.

Corn and Avocado Salad

Reviewed: May 16, 2009
Recipe was very good. Other than adding some tomatoes, I followed the recipe as is. Salad dressing a tad too sweet - would use 1/2 the honey next time. Also, the corn, avocado, peppers, bacaon, etc. were very "heavy" and made their way down to the bottom of the salad bowl - next time I will arrange the salad on individual salad plates and drizzle the salad dressing on top for a more appealing and dramatic look.

Perfection! Easy and delicious. Use a little milk to make the icing thinner - works better than the corn syrup.

Spicy Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Superb! Family loved it. Had only two slices of American cheese, so I only made two sandwiches with Amercian cheese - the rest with shredded cheddar. The cheddar tasted great too!

Pineapple Upside-Down Cake V

Easy and Delicious - Family LOVED it! Did not use the coconut. I have made the layer cake and the 9x13" versions - both turn out great. (For the 9x13" version, I omit the crushed pineapple). Thanks for a great recipe!

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2009
Followed the recipe, but pierced the pork and rubbed a little salt and pepper on the pork loins before placing them in the crockpot. I also added two cans of rootbeer (instead of one), because my crockpot is oblong (instead of deep) and one can didn't cover. Cooked for 6 hours on "high" setting - drained the rootbeer, pulled the pork apart and then added a bottle of KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce on "low" for the next 1 1/2 hours...EASY and Yummy. My family loved it! Thank you for a great recipe!

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2009
Tender and delicious... Breaded and fried the pork chops as directed. Baked the pork chops in the oven for 35 minutes (not 1 hour). For the sauce, I used 1 can cream of mushroom, 1 can golden mushroom, 1 cup milk and 1/2 cup white wine. Served with mashed potatoes and peas. My family loved it! Thank you for posting!

Italian Sausage and Peppers with Penne

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2009
Delicious... definitely a 4 1/2 star recipe... Not quite 5. Made the recipe as per directions. My family likes dishes a little bit spicier. The traditional Prego sauce isn't spicy enough, so next time I will add 1 tsp. garlic powder and 1 tsp. of red pepper flakes. Also, will add 1 more small jar of Prego - the penne needs more sauce to cover adequately.

Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2009
I made this recipe a couple of times "as is" - Will give 3 1/2 ***. Did not like the ketchup and not enough gravy. After a few modifications... FIVE STARS *****! Here are the modifications I make each time now (thanks to a compilation of others' suggestions on this site): 1.) Chop up one medium onion (fine) and mix it with the hamburger 2.) I used 3 TBL Crisco to brown the steaks in the pan (and then drained before I added the gravy 2.) Double the gravy ingredients and omit the ketchup completely 3.) Add 1 can Mushroom Soup, 1 Pkg. Lipton's Dry Onion Soup Mix and 1/2 Cup brown gravy (I use Campbell's most of the time, but any brand works fine). I prepare the steaks on the stove (don't use the oven as some have suggested), and they turn out perfectly. Serve with mashed potatoes, fresh green beans and Romaine Salad (with dried cherries or cranberries). Yummy!

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2009
This is a VERY forgiving recipe... First of all I used 2 (8.8oz ea.) pkgs. of "Uncle Ben's Ready Long Grain and Wild Rice" instead of the rice with seasoning packets. I just bought the wrong thing but used it anyway. I had many things going on in the kitchen when I the butter/cream/flour mixture was thickening up on the stove. It was lumpy and overcooked. Used it anyway. This recipe turned out great with all of the mishaps. My entire family rated this *****! Thank you for this soon to become family favorite!

Best Lemonade Ever

Delicious! Great recipe to make with the kids. Don't forget to roll the lemons on a flat surface before juicing - it really helps get all of the juice out of the lemons. We have made this recipe many times and don't change a thing. Many thanks for a great recipe!

White and Wild Rice Pilaf

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2009
I've made this recipe a few times...The first "as is" and then tinkering with it a bit. Here are the changes that I would recommend: 1.) Use chicken broth instead of vegetable broth - especially if you are using this dish to accompany poultry. 2.) Add 2 chicken boullion cubes when you add the broth. This gives the dish the extra needed flavor. My family loves it - thank you!

Honey Baked Chicken I

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2009
A good easy recipe. I've made this recipe several times and my family enjoys it. I've settled on the following minor changes: 1.) Mix the egg with the salt, garlic powder and pepper in a bowl and dip the chicken into the mixture (rather than rubbing the seasoning on the chicken and then brushing on the egg). It's much quicker. 2.) I double the sauce (except for the butter) and pour whole thing over the chicken. Baste a couple of times while baking 3.) I don't use a whole chicken (just personal preference). I use 5 chicken breasts. Thank you for the recipe!

Chunky Cheesecake Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2009
Fun recipe to make with the kids (especially when you swirl the brownie mixture and cheescake mixtures together). Used a double boiler to melt the chocolate and butter (a good, easy cooking lesson for kids) and it worked out great. Next time I will cut the chocolate chips used in the cheescake mixture in 1/2 as suggested by others - a bit too rich. Great recipe - thanks!

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2009
WOWWWWWWWW!!!!! A Keeper recipe for my family. I added an extra can of whole tomatoes. Instead of the 2 cups water, I used chicken broth. Also cooked a package of "Knoll" brand Mexican rice and put that in the crock pot too with everything else (someone else added the Knoll Spanish Rice - did not have that on hand - the Mexican Rice worked out great). Added another can of chicken broth about 1/2 hour before serving, because there didn't seem to be enough broth. Topped with grated Montery Jack cheese. TERRIFIC Recipe! Thank you!

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Oh my gosh- terrific taste and perfect texture! Made it all in one pan. I didn't have any buttermilk on hand so I found a buttermilk substitute on the internet... mix 1 Tablespoon white vinegar OR lemon juice with one cup of milk - let sit 5 minutes. My family LOVED it!
