My husband and I have been together for 11 years. We have two boys. Our oldest, (my step-son) is 16 and our youngest is 7.
I've been cooking since I was a teen. I usually don't follow recipes after I have tried it the first time. I like gourmet recipes but ususally don't have the ingrediants to make them
My favorite things to cook
I cook alot of stirfries because they are fast (once you get the veggies cut up, anyway). I love salads but have never found a store dressing that I like so I make alot of salad dressings as well. Snacks for my boys are also big on my list. I'm always looking for snacks for a never-full teenager and a very picky elementary school kid.
My cooking tragedies
No major things. I find it hard to time things to be ready at the same time, so potatoes are lumpy or carrots still hard, or broccoli get mushy.
My husband can't eat spicy, my teen loves spicy, my youngest will only eat peanut butter on bread or anything salted, (ie. fries, popcorn, chips) and none of use like many veggies, makes meal-planning kinda hard.
