Since I didn't have any Pumpkin Pie Spice I substituted 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp nutmeg and 1/4 tsp allspice and I baked it in a smaller pan. The result was a very aromatic, moist bar that was a delight to eat! I did not put any frosting or sugar on top, but maybe next time I'll try thinly sliced apples with a sprinkling of cinnamon sugar on top. Overall a wonderful recipe.

My variation of this tasty sandwich is to add several slices of red onion and cooked bacon.

Great recipe! Easy to make and delicious! This was my first banana bread and I was so pleased with how it turned out. I omitted the walnuts (allergies) but added 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg.
