This is the best icing for sugar cookies! My guests thought I bought them from a specialty bakery!

Zippy Egg Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2011
Great recipe! I would recommend lining your baking pan with foil first. I made the mistake of making cinnamon rolls using the same 9x13 and even though I washed it, a trace amount of cinnamon taste came off on to the egg casserole. It ruined the dish. Have made it many times...foil saves it!!!

OREO® and Fudge Ice Cream Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2011
Really nice for Fathers Day! I made this exactly as recipe stated. Please don't thin down chocolate mousse filling like others say. It will be thick when you are assembling, but it's really good this way. Once frozen, it almost seems like fudge chocolate layer with oreos.

White Velvet Cutouts

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2011
This is the best cutout recipe! I'm making these for Easter. Before putting dough in fridge, be sure to pat it out into a flat 6"round or more. This way when you take it out of the fridge, it won't be as hard to roll out. The dough will be hard. If you like them thin like I do, roll dough out between two sheets of parchment! This prevents from having to add additional flour, which does change the the cookie. Also after rolling dough out, use your cutouts to make your shapes, then place back in fridge for about 5 minutes before removing from parchment! This is a much easier way! Good luck!

Sweet Potato, Carrot, Apple, and Red Lentil Soup

Really great and hardy. My 2 and 4 year old even loved it. I like it better before the puree process personally. My boys liked it better pureed! Both ways are great!

These are totally amazing! Don't change a thing. Get good crusty french bread. Mini french baguettes works wonderful! And don't forget to butter the bread first!

Pierogi (Polish Dumplings)

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2008
Amazing dough! Just like my Grandma makes.let the dough rest for 30 minutes before rolling out. Also, pierogi can be made in advance and taste the same. prepare a pan well with melted butter. Then, as the pierogi are done boiling, drain and place in your prepared pan. Put extra melted butter on top of the pierogi, this will prevent any sticking and seal in the flavor. When placing in pan, it's best to place them neatly in one layer. A baking sheet will work fine. Then, freeze them in the baking sheet covered tightly with foil. Take them out of Freezer and transfer to Fridge to defrost 24 hours in advance. Then bake 275 degree oven for 30 minutes. I do this for Easter every year and Christmas. works every time.

Whipped Shortbread Cookies

Reminded me of this butter melt away cookie my mom used to make. I refrigerated the dough for 2 hours first, then split it in half on two pieces of plastic wrap. then rolled dough out into 2 logs, and rolled the logs in green and red sugars. Great for Christmas. Thanks.
