This bread is amazing. It was not at all difficult to make, though I did have trouble figuring out when it was finished baking. When I first took it out, it looked done on the outside but was still doughy on the inside. Perhaps some work with temperature would help (my oven is finicky too, so that's why I'm not lowering the rating). Rave reviews all around. Thanks for the outstanding recipe!

Imitation Meatloaf

I have made this recipe multiple times now, and my husband and I just LOVE it!! We double it and use a stoneware casserole dish that is big enough to handle it. I have never bothered with any changes because it is so good as written! I have topped it with salsa sometimes or a variety of other sauces. It freezes just fine also. Delicious, nutritious, and inexpensive to make. Thanks for the recipe!

Chewy Maple Cookies

Delicious!!! I took the advice of another reviewer and added a little more flour as well as walnut pieces. I had no coconut so left that out without regrets. I did not grease my nonstick cookie sheet. I'd never had maple cookies before, and these are a real treat!

Black Bean Hummus

Delicious dip, and actually I thought it was pretty served in a dip bowl and sprinkled with the olives. I made exactly as written the first time, but it was very liquidy so I omitted the juice the second time. Definitely a good change-up from standard dips! Thanks!

Marrakesh Vegetable Curry

I made this for my veggie-head friend. We were both gushing over the deliciousness! Only alteration was doubling the curry and turmeric as suggested by others ~ it was perfect! I would not hesitate to serve it for guests. It looked beautiful served over couscous in bowls with small wooden spoons. Thank you!!

Macaroni and Cheese III

This mac & cheese is very good, and I had good feedback from guests at a cookout. I chose the recipe because of its rating and the fact that it does not call for "cheese food" (Velveeta), though I realized that "real" cheese melts just fine but is difficult to spread. So I found this recipe a little tricky. Still delicious and preferable to the fake stuff! I will certainly make it again.

Hot German Potato Salad III

Yummmmm! My two mistakes: cooking the potatoes for too long (they were somewhat mushy), and realizing I didn't have any kind of vinegar except balsamic. Even with these two elements, the dish was delicious. Otherwise, I prepared according to instructions using regular Idaho potatoes. I added some chopped green onions on top for color. Thanks for the recipe!!

Dutch Apple Loaf

This is a WONDERFUL recipe! I just picked Wealthy and Paula Red apples over the weekend so tried out some recipes, and this is my favorite so far. Wonderful flavor, easy to make, light and moist. I doubled the recipe and had no problems. I was starting to run low on all-purpose flour, so I used half whole wheat flour in the double-batch. Love the taste! I also just used one batch worth of topping, and it was enough for both loaves (I prefer to go easy on bread toppings). Delicious!! Thank you!

Poppy Seed Bundt Cake

This cake is delicious. It disappeared when I took it with me to a family weekend. The cinnamon/cocoa/sugar swirl turned out beautifully and really added flavor. I did not rate it 5 stars because it stuck to the pan even though I greased & floured my non-stick bundt pan. I think in making this another time, I may just stick to just swirling in the cinn/sugar mix and avoid putting the first third in the bottom of the pan. I don't know, maybe I just needed to wait for it to cool a bit...

Peanut Butter Chip Chocolate Cookies

Just to add more glowing feedback ~ I made these cookies exactly according to the recipe, and they are divine! I love the combination of rich chocolate and peanut butter, and they were very easy to make. On an occasion when I made 3 or 4 different kinds of cookies, these stood out easily as the best.

Oatmeal Dinner Rolls

Thanks for the incredible recipe! So easy. I baked them on my new pizza stone and they were delicious!! Contrary to what others have said, I can taste the oatmeal -- subtle, but there.
