I work in the communications/pr industry and use my talents to help others. Outside of work I love travel, reading, writing, photography, art, design, cooking and more recently; sewing.
My favorite things to cook
I'm infatuated with thai, indian and japanese. more recently central and south american foods.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I grew up in a very traditional european setting - meat and potatoes, meat and potatoes (blah) everyday. My faves: rouladen, fleish holapche, and non-traditional foods that my mom used to make as quick-fix dinners. Looking back, she was VERY creative and inspirational.
My cooking triumphs
Few dishes have been bad. I've mastered the art of soup. Who knew it was so easy?
My cooking tragedies
I learned the hard way that while trying to impress a new boyfriend that making things from scratch is best. Buying something pre-made (like in a can), to save a few steps, and for the first time, can be scary. it won't make it taste better. Some things are best left made from scratch.
