Salsa Chicken Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2009
Delicious! I made no changes except the way I prepared it (simmered chicken and onions in skillet with salsa to cook). I'm not a huge casserole fan, but this was DELICIOUS!

Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2009
NO complaints! This was absolutely delicious. I forgot the hot sauce in the recipe, but there was plenty of flavor (I did add just a little salt and pepper to taste prior to adding the egg). I topped with cheese, lettuce, tomato and pickles, just like I would a regular burger. The flavor was good enough, though, that you wouldn't HAVE to add anything. I added the beans to the food processor, after the pepper/onions/etc. were chopped well. I had no problems with the burgers falling apart or sticking to the pan, as others have mentioned. I used non-stick cooking spray on my baking sheet. I'm wondering if some reviewers didn't mash the beans up enough to get a pasty texture. I will make this again...and again!!!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: May 13, 2009
Last time I made the recipe as written and it was good. However, after reading other members' reviews, I made a few alterations this time, with TERRIFIC results that I prefer to the original. I increased the filling by about 50% (used 1.5 cups brown sugar, 3.5T cinnamon, and 1/2 cup butter). I combined the melted butter, cinnamon, and sugar, and didn't have any trouble with filling falling out. I increased the filling, mostly so that I wouldn't have leftover cream cheese. I used 8oz cream cheese, 1/2 cup butter, 3 cups confectioners sugar, 1.5 teaspoons vanilla, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and about 5T milk. I divided it into 4...used 1/4 and froze 3/4 in 3 ziplocks. Lastly, I made 24 cinnamon rolls, which were plenty big. I baked them at 350 for about 20 minutes. At 400 degrees, I had trouble with the tops browning before the rolls were all the way cooked. YUM! By far, the best cinnamon rolls I have ever made.

Pasta Primavera with Italian Turkey Sausage

Reviewed: May 1, 2009
I used chicken sausage and dried basil, and this was delicious!! Filling and healthy, without a creamy sauce to make me feel guilty about. My husband and my 2-year-old loved it also. Definitely a keeper.

Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Brownies

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2009
These tasted good, I guess, but I was disappointed. I followed MARIAEMMANUELLA's baking time instructions, which worked perfectly. I couldn't taste the cheesecake part very much, or maybe it was just the combination I didn't care for. The idea was great, but this one's just not for me.

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

I only used half the hot sauce, since my children were eating it. I doubled the sauce. It was WONDERFUL! By far, the best Asian-type meal I've made. Thanks!

Tasted great! I didn't add cilantro, simply because I didn't have any & hubby doesn't care for it. Otherwise, I followed the recipe. Very different. Very tasty. Will add to my repertoire.

YUM. Substituted 12 oz. chicken broth for beer. This soup is completely satisfying, even without chips, cheese, or sour cream!

Cracked Sugar Cookies I

Delicious! These taste like the Pillsbury sugar cookies! I'm not sure if I added too much flour, but the dough was very crumbly. cookies were still nice and moist and tasted great, though! Thanks!

Pumpkin Pie Pudding

Perfect! Mine only took 3 hours in the crockpot. I forgot to spray it also, but no gooey mess. What a wonderful dessert, without all the calories that come in pie crust! This will be a staple around our house during the holidays! Next time, though, I'll try 2% or whole milk to cut down calories a little bit. Thanks for the great recipe!

Hasty Chocolate Pudding

This is soooo rich and so easy. Definitely will use as my default recipe. Loved that it only took one dish. I think I cooked it for a minute too long, which made it not as creamy of a texture, but that was my fault!

Pizza Dough II

Good pizza crust, and very easy to make. I used 2c. whole wheat flour, 4c. white, and turned out great. I love that this recipe doesn't require much yeast, yet is a nice hand tossed style crust...good for those who like thick OR thin crust. I love that I have 2 crusts ready to use in the freezer. I think this will be my default.

Not a disaster for me. Didn't stick to the pan, or turn out raw or anything. I simply thought these were far too sweet, and not nearly chocolaty enough. A disappointment...
