About this Cook
I am happily married with two dogs. I have coooked for just about as long as I can remember. I love to cook for other peoople, especially because my favorite recipes make a lot of food and I don't like left overs!
My favorite things to cook
lasagna, stuffed manicotti, chicken enchiladas, anything in a crock pot, and all kinds of desserts
My cooking triumphs
When I was in high school I made a double chocolate rum cake, and it was the most beautiful cake I've ever made! I never made it again though, because the taste wasn't as appealing as the regular rum cake I make.
My cooking tragedies
I cannot bake angel food cake without the batter overflowing and making a huge mess in my oven! I even bought a bigger tube pan, just like the instructions on the box call for.

Shredded Beef for Tacos
Holy cow, this is great! We had decided we were sick of ground beef tacos and wanted a different kind of meat. This was the first recipe I tried and we loved it! We used the left over meat for enchiladas a couple days later and they were wonderful too!

Slow Cooker Shredded Venison for Tacos
I forgot to thaw my roast so I mixed the taco seasoning and cayenne pepper with the water and poured it over my frozen roast. At the end of the day it shredded easily! We hunt mule deer, and I understand they have a stronger taste than whitetail, which it what I assume most venison recipes are made for. That is why I gave this recipe four stars--the meat was pretty strong, but as I said, I believe that was the deer and not the recipe.

Banana Pudding Cake
I love this cake! I found it while looking for something that would use up a package of banana cream pudding I had. I took it to work and everyone loved it and asked for the recipe. I didn't even bother to put frosting on it--it doesn't need it.
