About this Cook
Not much to tell. I'm a basic 32 year old learning and blossoming her cooking skills. I have 3 children and a very sweets-loving boyfirend. Lucky for him, I'm a very good baker, and I'm learning that I'm very good in other cooking areas as well.
My favorite things to cook
Desserts!!! I am best doing these hands down.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We only started one this last year with the help of my boyfriend. He loves his sweets and desserts, so whenever my daughters join us for weekends once a month we have a massive bake session. It's great. His belly gets filled with lots of sweet treats and I have very fond and lasting memories with my daughters now. They think cooking with mom is the greatest!
My cooking triumphs
Thanksgiving 2005. First Thanksgiving in a new setting with a very sweet guy. I wanted to impress him with our first Thanksgiving dinner together, so armed with a lot of new recipes, I went at it. Success! My greateset triumph was my first ever made pumpkin pie!
My cooking tragedies
Can't think of one at the moment, but I know that somewhere in my past there was a time I cried over something I made that went bad. Of course, when I was young my tragedy was trying to reheat bar-b-que beans in a plastic bowl on the stove! What a melted mess!

Bacon Jack Chicken Sandwich
These were great! I sliced the chicken breasts in half, rubbed them with the poultry seasoning, then I brushed them with olive oil. I baked them 10 minutes per side. I added the pepperjack and bacon, then baked an extra 2-3 minutes. Yum! Thanks!

Tasty Meat Pie
Did this as is and it was very good. For the crust, I used frozen pie shells in which I filled one and flipped the other on top of it and sealed. We are going to make revisions for the next try as we both thought the taste was similar to a pasty. I'm going to use less carrot/potato so that I can add some rutebega and will use a ground beef/sausage mix. It will be awesome. Thanks.

Tuna Pita Melts
These were very good and a different way to enjoy a tuna melt. I added an extra Tbs of mayo to the mix and topped it with more cheese. I also only toasted the pitas for 4 minutes and they were just fine. Thanks.
