Szechwan Shrimp
I chose this recipe to use up some shrimp I had on hand. I was inspired by the reviews, and thought I'd give the recipe a shot. I guadrupled the sauce, as suggested in earlier reviews, doubled the garlic and ginger. I also added some vegetables. My shrimp was raw, and I cooked it 2-3 minutes before adding the sauce. I think the sauce has too much ketchup. Something about the sauce was a little off. Another reviewer mentioned that it tasted like a frozen Green Giant ready-meal. I think so too. To me, this tasted like something that came out of a bag. I ate it, but I'm not looking forward to having to eat the leftovers. Sorry!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread
Fabulous! I was trying to decide between zucchini bread and banana-nut bread, and stumbled upon this recipe. I am so glad I did. I made it exactly as written....except I added chocolate chips to one loaf. I did add the butter/sugar/cinnamon glaze. I had to immediately cut a slice after it came out of the oven....it smelled so good. I haven't tried the one with chocolate chips yet, but the original recipe is absolutely wonderful! Thanks for a recipe that I will make year after year!
