Bacon Cheese Treats

I followed the recipe exactly and they were rather blah. I will say that the next day, I packed them in the lunch boxes and they tasted better. Nothing spectacular.

I really wanted to like this one. The only complaint that I have is that it is just too salty. I don't usually cook with salt, however, I am not on a salt restricted diet. It is a good recipe for some, however, if you don't care for salty food, you might better stay away from this recipe.

Italian Chicken Bow Tie Pasta

Wow! I was impressed! I was afraid that this dish be too "greasy" from the dressing, but happily....I was wrong. It was a big hit with my family. My teenage boys barely left any for the rest of us! I increased the amount of chicken and used Kraft Light Zesty Italina dressing. This recipe is a keeper! Thanks for sharing!

Beef and Beans

This recipe was tender, juicy and flavorful. If I make it again, I would use 1 can of tomatoes and 2 cans of kidney beans. It didn't seem as if one can was enough...the beans just got lost.

Chicken and Mushroom Chowder

A very good chowder! I made it exactly as the recipe stated and it came out perfectly. Next time I think that I will try corn instead of carrots as one other reviewer suggested. Definitely a keeper!

Baked Potato Salad I

Very good, but I have no idea why they call it a salad....It would be an excellent addition to any breakfast or brunch. Anytime that you had a crowd to feed. Will definitely make again.

Easter Cheese - Hrudka

This is a staple at our table every Easter. We called it Yayashnik. It was served with ham, kielbasa, raisin babka (bread), hard boiled eggs and yes, the horseradish for those who liked it. This is part of the Eastern European (specifically Byzantine Orthodox) Easter tradition. Thank you for sharing this recipe. For those of you who didn't grow up with this tradition, another serving suggestion would be to use slices of this Hrudka on bread with slices of ham. It makes a great sandwich!

Cirak (Egg Cheese Roll)

Peanut Butter Cupcakes

These cupcakes were o.k. I would not make them again. Nothing really wrong with them, I guess that based on the reviews of others, we were just expecting something better. Next time I will make peanut butter brownies instead.

My Amish Friend's Caramel Corn

Outstanding!! I have made one similar to this for years. One suggestion....use a turkey roaster and a stiff spoon to stir with. The tall sides of the turkey roaster make it so much easier to do a good job stirring. When you stir, make sure that you scrapt the bottom and sides of the roasting pan. Hope this helps....
