Sandy's Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2008
Amazing, incredible, delicious, wonderful, velvety and fabulous! Well worth the efforts. I made it and it was gone the same day! The most amazing chocolate cake I have ever tasted and I will be making it again and again - this is also great as cupcakes!

Magic Spice Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2008
This cake was wonderful and gone in no time. I made it for my fiance to take to work and someone took the leftovers home. The icing I made also came out wonderfully and I got many compliments o this cake. I would like to add a little more spices next time to get even more flavor. Whipped cream icing is wonderful on it!

Creamy Peach Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2008
Made this for my fiance and he said it was incredibly delicious - a five star pie. I used 1/2c of cream and the pie set beautifully as it cooled. I did not refrigerate it. I added an extra 1/4c of sugar to the peaches and about 3/4-1t. of nutmeg. A fabulous recipe I will make again!

Indian Tandoori Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2008
This chicken came out phenomenal! I baked it in the oven on 450 for 30 minutes. I omitted the food coloring, too. It was tender and moist and bursting with flavor. I added extra cayenne because I like things spicy. Very enjoyable!

Raspberry Pie I

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2008
This pie was absolutely fantastic! I had to substitute fresh blackberries for raspberries because the grocery stores were out of fresh raspberries. My fiance loves pies and he said this one is a definite winner. I agree - I love anything with berries. GREAT with vanilla ice cream. Delish!

Veal Marsala

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2008
I doubled the recipe for the sauce since previous raters said it was a bit dry. It was very tasty and delicious. My fiance gobbled it right up. Next time, however, I will use more marsala wine.

Heavenly Chocolate Mousse

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2008
I made the mousse and put it in a chocolate cookie pie crust and it was absolutely divine. The mousse was light and fluffy and very creamy and the pie crust added a delicious crunchiness. It firms up beautifully in the pie crust for a perfect pie. I highly recommend this recipe - it is one of the best I have yet to try! Five stars all the way!

Apple Pie I

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2008
My fiance loves apple pie and he said this pie was OUT OF THIS WORLD it was so good. He practically inhaled it. I sprinkled some vanilla over the apple/sugar/cinnamon and I used 1 cup of sugar instead. I also used more butter - I placed pats of butter on top of the filling instead of little pieces. The thickness of the sauce was beautiful WITHOUT flour. There is nothing better than homemade! Definitely a five star recipe that can be modified to how you like it! Next time I will use some nutmeg and ground cloves. A winner if I ever made one!

Stabilized Whipped Cream Icing

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2008
I used this variaton and it was perfect!!! ~2 teaspoons gelatin, 4 teaspoons cold water, 1 cup heavy whipping cream, 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.... Combine gelatin and cold water. Whip the cream, and add confectioner's sugar. Add gelatin mixture and vanilla extract. Continue whipping until the gelatin is incorporated. Lovely firm texture and beautifully spreadable. I stuck it in the freezer for a short time to firm the icing a little more. It came out splendidly!

Basil Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2007
This was amazing. I used heavy cream instead and more garlic. I also garnished with more pine nuts. I will be making this a lot. I love basil and this is fragrant and well infused with the best kind - fresh basil! So good I was eating it before I put it on the pasta!

Thai Chicken Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2007
These were tasty and delicious! I added some minced fresh ginger and garlic and one egg to help the meatballs stick better. Also, I used spicy Thai chili garlic sauce. These would be great with some sesame oil dipping sauce. Definitely worth making!

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2007
This dish is absolutely wonderful! I have made it several times and it is sooo good every time. Sometimes I use a little less heavy cream if I want the flavor to be a little stronger. So delicious it's hard to put down!

Chicken Makhani (Indian Butter Chicken)

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2007
This was very delicious and quite authentic. I used two-three times the ginger-garlic paste and more cayenne pepper. Also, I used cashew to thicken the sauce, not cornstarch. It was absolutely fabulous! I will make it again.

Spicy Indian Chicken and Mango Curry

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2007
This was incredible! I used Thai red curry instead of Indian and no cucumbers. I also cut the mangoes into smaller pieces. I am going to make it for a pot luck dinner. DEFINITELY worth the try!

Thai Chicken with Basil Stir Fry

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2007
A little too salty for my taste but overall pretty good. More coconut milk and a little chili garlic sauce would be great. Definitely worth a try.
